The first derby of the season saw Dardie undefeated in league and cup games so far. Dardie came flying out the blocks and took the lead afters 6 minutes. Johnston spinning his marker at half way before slotting in BURNS and he smashed past the keeper from 8 yards. This opening salvo was followed by a lull, specifically from Dardie, with Milngavie unlucky not to square the match. The match sparked back into life just after the half hour. Collins controlled a long ball and cushioned the ball into BYERS path and he swept the ball into the top corner from 20 yards. Dardie were in the ascendency now and a third arrived a minute later. A fantastic team move involving 6 players found STEWART at the end of it and he made no mistake from 6 yards.

The 2nd half saw a very much reserved Dardie performance. With the game as good as done, Dardie were happy to see out the game knowing the hard work had been done.
