With Dardie already qualified top the game had a relaxed feel to it and the performance showed this. Dardie started strongly and should have been ahead in the first ten minutes with first Taylor having a shot cleared off the line then McBride sending a penatly over the bar. Dardie completely took their foot off the gas and whilst controlling the play never really threatened the Blantyre goal. The breakthough came just before half time when McBride played a short pass into MACDONALD and he side-stepped the defender before clinically finishing with the outside of his right foot.

The 2nd hald was a completely forgettable affair. Dardie completely in control but aside from a few scrambled blocks from Blantyre, nothing to shout about. The clincher came when MacDonald sent Taylor away down the right and his first time cross found COLLINS who produced a smart finish on the volley.
